The fires of malice thundered forth and lava crossed frontiers.
Yet love stood strong within our home - tranquility held sway.

The blackest smoke will shroud the moon. The noontime sun will wane.
Its final rays will disappear in freezing hurricanes.
The stars will fade; the Earth descends into a deathly sleep.
The only warmth is in your breath - a breath that’s so serene.
Lips radiating heat…

Sometimes we witness dreams, reminding us of death.
Sometimes we witness dreams, reminding us of pain.
Inspiring me to hold your hand – and tighter still.
Inspiring me to take you far away from here.

So do not be afraid.
